Transitional Living Program
The Transitional Living Program encompasses three individual facilities including Benni’s House, and Matthew’s House, serving youth ages 18 through 23.
This program also encompasses the use of three Karis Host Homes, for youth under the age of 18. Collectively this program offers a total of 16 beds for youth who may or may not have been through other Karis programs, are more stable and independent but do not have the resources or readiness to rent their own place. Youth can stay in the transitional housing for up to two years. Youth in host homes can stay up until their 18th birthday, or for 18 months. Most youth in the program are working at least 20 hours per week.
Case Managers, Youth Advocates, and volunteers meet with youth in these programs regularly to provide support and bridge youth HOME.
